About The Race
The Suwannee River 230 is an exhilerating event for kayaks, canoes and SUPs that brings together enthusiasts to compete and enjoy the beauty of the Suwannee River. Our event provides a platform for participants to engage in friendly competition, set records, and be part of a community that shares a passion for kayaking.
The Suwannee River emerges from the Okeefenokee swamp in Fargo, Ga as a small, winding stream. As it progresses through Florida, racers traverse several small shoals and portage around the only white water in Florida at Big Shoals. As the river approaches the Gulf, it becomes tidally influenced and the race ends just before the river dumps into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This race allows participants to enjoy a source to sea adventure on one of the most scenic rivers in Florida.
